Three die in LaGrange shooting

Crime scene tape had already been cleared from the scene of a shooting that left three people dead and one injured by Sunday evening at 308 W. Queen St., LaGrange.

Three people were shot to death and one person was injured in an early Sunday morning shooting in LaGrange.

Lenoir County Sheriff Ronnie Ingram said detectives are in the early stages of the investigation.

By Sunday evening, the police tape at 308 W. Queen St. in LaGrange had been removed.

A statement from the sheriff's office said deputies arrived at the small, white outbuilding of the home after a report of shots being fired around 1:15 a.m.

They found three gunshot victims who were pronounced dead on the scene. A fourth victim was injured and taken to the hospital.

In a statement released by the sheriff's office Ingram said, "Our prayers go out to the victims' families for their loss. We are in the beginning stages of the investigation. Our detectives are working to piece together information gathered on the scene."

Names of the victims had not been released as of press time.
