Man, 70, charged with trafficking opiates

A 70-year-old man is facing a felony charge after police say he had a trafficking amount of Hydrocodone in his possession during a traffic stop Sunday.
Marlyn Peterson, of 803 N. Claiborne St., is charged with felony trafficking a schedule II controlled substance.
A press release said a concerned citizen told police Peterson was in possession of narcotics.
Officers with D shift then found and stopped Peterson.
He allegedly had 41 Hydrocodone pills -- or 307.5 milligrams of the drug -- wrapped in plastic.
Peterson was put in the Wayne County Detention Center under a $20,000 secured bond.
