The East Carolina Radio Control Club will sponsor a Fun Fly on Saturday, June 3, for members of the Academy of Model Aeronautics at Randy Webber Field at 4357 County Line Road near LaGrange.
The event is free to the public.
Academy of Model Aeronautics members will start flying their radio controlled model aircraft at 10 a.m.
The public is invited to come out and watch Academy of Model Aeronautics members fly their propeller and jet planes, helicopters and muliti-rotors of all sizes, said club member Charlie Wood.
This is a great opportunity for students, young adults, and seniors to learn more about the exciting field of radio controlled model aircraft, Wood said.
A netted cage will be used to provide free quadcopter lessons to students in sixth through 12th grades.
Hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, candy bars, sodas, and bottled water will be available.
Those attending should bring sunglasses and chairs, Wood said.
