Man dodges bullet

A Goldsboro man narrowly escaped being shot in the neck when a bullet fired into his home only grazed him Friday night.
According to a Goldsboro police report, the shooting came at the tail-end of a dispute over a debt of $10.
The victim said the man he owed the money to came knocking on his door at about 11:15 p.m. trying to get back money he was owed.
When the victim told the man he did not have any money on him, a physical altercation broke out but ended quickly, the report said.
The victim told police that as he went back inside, the man intent on collecting his $10 fired a single shot from a .22 caliber pistol into the house. Two other people were inside at the time.
The bullet grazed the victim's neck, resulting in his being treated at the scene by Wayne County EMS.
Police have the name and description of the suspect, but at the time of this report no one has been charged.
