The Goldsboro Elks are pleased to announce the first Wings of Wayne Military Appreciation Festival to be held at 207 S. Center Street on Saturday, May 27, from 1 to 6 p/m/. The event is being presented by Case Farms and Bud Light.

The event is family friendly and is designed to bring SJAFB and the community together in a downtown setting and it will also serve as a fundraising event which helps in the Elks ongoing support of local charitable causes.

Admission is free, and the event will include a Chicken Wing Cook-off, live music, children's activities, craft vendors and more. The music will be performed by Spare Change and All My Rowdy Friends. The event will also include awards for the Chicken Wing Cook off and the Elks Military Appreciation awards. The Chicken Wing Cook-off will be judged by a celebrity panel including judges from Chef & the Farmer, Sam Jones BBQ and SJAFB Wing Commander, Col Christopher Sage.

Anyone interested in getting involved as a sponsor, vendor, cook-team or volunteer should contact doug@WingsOfWayne.org.
