Two arrested for gun and drug charges

The Wayne County Sheriff's Office arrested two people Thursday on gun and drug charges after pulling them over and searching the vehicle they were in on Lincoln-Mercury Drive.
According to a press release, sheriff's deputies were responding to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area. After stopping the vehicle on Lincoln-Mercury Drive, which runs in front of Deacon Jones Ford, authorities searched the car and found heroin, drug paraphernalia and concealed guns.
Hunter Ryan Carter, 20, of 1151 Pinkney Road, Pikeville, is charged with possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, malicious conduct by a prisoner, carrying a concealed gun, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, driving while impaired and expired registration. He was put in the Wayne County Jail under a $30,000 secured bond.
According to an arrest report, Carter was armed with a .38 caliber revolver.
Autumn Dawn Pulley, 20, a passenger in the vehicle and shares the same address as Carter, is charged with possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and carrying a concealed gun. She was given a $10,000 unsecured bond.
According to a press release, she was also armed with a concealed handgun when she and Carter were stopped.
The Wayne County Sheriff's Office Aggressive Criminal Enforcement Team, DWI Task Force, Investigations Division, Warrant Squad and patrol division all participated in the arrest.
