Shots were fired into a residence on George Street in the middle of the day on July 22.
The incident was reported to police Monday.
A woman told police she was sitting on the front porch of her house at 903 N. George St. while another person was inside the residence with a juvenile when shots were fired into her house on July 22.
The woman reportedly said police responded when the shots were initially fired on July 22, but said she forgot to notify police that her house was damaged during the incident until she reported it on Monday, the incident report on the incident says.
According to a police report on the incident, the woman told police multiple cars were driving by her residence when the shots rang out and she could not determine which vehicle the shots were fired from.
The report says the front porch was struck by the shots twice, the air conditioning unit in the window was struck and a glass window was also struck by the gunfire.
Maj. Anthony Carmon with the Goldsboro Police Department confirmed nobody was injured during the incident.
