Rosewood High closed today

Classes at Rosewood High School were canceled today due to a power outage, officials said. The school was apparently struck by lightning over the weekend, damaging the underground power lines leading into the school, Ken Derksen, public information officer for the district, said this morning. The school had no electricity or air conditioning, he said, and repairs were not expected to be finished in time for lunch.
Expected bad weather also forced a change in the graduation ceremony, which has been moved to Wednesday at 7 p.m.
