Faison Market Day Oct. 10

FAISON -- The Twelfth Annual Market Day celebration will be held on Saturday, Oct.r 10 at the Park in Faison.
The honorees this year will be the veterans of the Faison Area. The theme for Market Day will be "From the Farm Fields to the Battlefields."
The 82nd Airborne Division Band from Fort Bragg will give a patriotic concert. The colors will be presented by the Fort Bragg 82nd Airborne Division Color Guard and the keynote speaker will be retired four-star General Dan K. McNeill. In addition, the Faison Improvement Group and the Faison Museum Committee will present the newly established Faison Area Veterans Appreciation Medal. Medals will be presented to all attending veterans from WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, post-Vietnam, Middle East and non-hostile periods, or to a family representative of the deceased veterans from these periods.
