KENANSVILLE -- Members of the Duplin County Hall of Fame board want to remind the Duplin community that Sept. 25 is he deadline for submissions of nominations for the annual induction into the county's Hall of Fame.
Each year, the Hall of Fame inducts two new members -- one living and one deceased. Inductees are honored for their lifelong contributions to the betterment of the county.
Nominations are invited from any and all individuals and groups.
The inductees will be announced, as they are annually, at a banquet at the Jester's Court of the Country Squire restaurant between Kenansville and Warsaw. This year's banquet will be held on Thursday, Nov. 5.
Nominees can come from the business, cultural, educational or voluntary sectors of the Duplin community. Among the members of the Hall of Fame board are President Leah Fife of Albertson, Jane Hollingsworth of Faison and Executive Director Anne Stroud Taylor of Faison.
