Alleged heroin trafficker arrested

The State Bureau of Investigation, Drug Enforcement Agency and Wayne County Sheriff's Office ACE Team assisted the Goldsboro/Wayne County Interagency Drug Task Force in arresting a Pikeville man accused of trafficking heroin Monday.
Kenneth Sauls, 61, 121 Purple Iris Drive, is charged with one count of conspiracy to traffic heroin and has been placed in the Wayne County Jail under a $10,000 secured bond.
According to a press release issued by the Sheriff's Office, Sauls' arrest is the result of an ongoing investigation into the illegal selling and distribution of heroin in the Goldsboro and Wayne County area.
Additional arrests are pending.
