The Optimist Club of Goldsboro will be at Sam's Club Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to raise funds and collect used computers and peripheral equipment for its Optimist Computers4Kids program.
Over the last two school years, this program has provided low-cost, refurbished computers to 87 low-income families with 177 children in Wayne County Public Schools.
This Saturday, the Optimist Club will provide free popcorn to all Sam's Club customers.
The Optimist Club will also accept donations and will have raffle tickets available for the following first-, second-, and third-place prizes to be given away on June 4 - iPad Air with 16GB memory, $100, and $50.
Used computers and peripheral equipment can also be donated from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the second Saturday of each month at the Optimist Club's office, 205 E. Walnut St.
