A 6-year-old female student at Northwest Elementary was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital this afternoon by the Wayne County EMS after being wedged between two vehicles during a four-vehicle accident as parents were arriving to pick up students. The full extent of her injuries are unknown at this time, though they were described by Dr. Craig McFadden, Wayne County Public Schools assistant superintendent, as serious. McFadden also said that another student and two adults suffered minor injuries, but were not taken to the hospital. See Thursday's News-Argus for complete coverage.
