Man killed in wreck Saturday

A Goldsboro man was killed in a single-vehicle accident Saturday on U.S. 70 East near North Carolina Street, according to a Goldsboro police report.
His body, ejected from the vehicle, was undiscovered for more than two hours.
Stanley Curtis Lawhorn, 37, of 1302 Robin St., died when his vehicle went off the roadway, overturned and slid down an embankment striking a utility pole.
Residents in the area of the 1300 block of North Carolina Street said they heard a noise about two hours before the wreckage was discovered by a neighbor returning from a trip at 11:04 p.m., according to the report.
No information as to the cause of the accident was released as of press time.
