Shooting into occupied dwelling
An unknown black man entered a home in Dudley where a card game was being held and shot into the residence. According a report filed with the Wayne County Sheriff's Office evidence indicated both a shotgun and a small caliber weapon were fired in the home. Bullet holes but no shells were found at the scene.
Stolen moped and locking chain
Kenneth Wayne Pagitt, of Dudley, reported a Lintex Fashion Sport 50cc moped and locking chain stolen from his carport. The value of the moped was reported as $850 and the chain was valued at $20.
Breaking and entering, larceny
*The residence of Matthew Derrick Everidge, of Dudley, was burglarized Sunday. Everidge returned home after an overnight stay elsewhere to find the glass side-door to his home shattered by a brick. The sheriff's office responded and cleared the building finding no suspects inside. Among the items stolen were a 62-inch flatscreen TV, a 42-inch flat screen TV, two game consoles and a Kel-Tech 9mm handgun.
*The home of Goldsboro resident Jose Louis Mata Rivera was found burglarized Monday. Items totaling more than $1,000 in value were reported stolen, including jewelry and cash.
Stolen vehicle, parts
An unknown subject forcibly entered Chevy Shop Inc., located at 504 Atlantic Ave. The suspect escaped with four 18-inch chrome rims and a 454 engine block as well as assorted tools and a 1986 Chevy Caprice.
