Nearly three months after a local resident was airlifted to Greenville for treatment of injuries sustained during a shooting at the intersection of Poplar Street and Westview Court, one of the men Goldsboro police allege is res-ponsible for his plight was arrested.
Billy Renaldo Hamm Jr., 19, of 1210 E. Elm St. -- who fled the city -- was charged by the Durham Police Department with four counts of attempted first-degree murder, two counts of discharging a weapon into an occupied vehicle and one count of discharging a weapon into an occupied vehicle inflicting serious injury, for what Goldsboro lawmen say is his role in the incident that left Antonio Lamont Deans hospitalized.
Hamm has since been transferred to the Wayne County Jail and his bond was set at $1 million.
But the teenager's arrest was not the first to unfold in connection with this particular shooting.
Braddock Bernard Gross III, of 1218 Franklin St., faces the same charges and is currently in the Wayne County Jail under a $4.15 million bond.
