Shooting at service station
Goldsboro police are investigating the shooting of a gas pump that took place at Donnel's Express Mart, located at 518 E. Elm St., about 9:45 p.m. Thursday.
Employee Saleh Hanshali reported that he heard about 20 rounds being fired. The gas pump was shot three times, Hanshali told police.
Hanshali and several customers were on the property when the shooting occurred, which caused $300 in damage.
Air-conditioner stolen from church
Officials reported the theft of $4,500 a/c unit from Smith Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, located at 713 Pineview Cemetery Road near Mount Olive. The theft reportedly occurred between last Saturday and Thursday.
