Kenneth Grant reported the theft of a Browning 270 Stalker short magazine rifle with a scope, valued at $1,300, from his home in the 1800 block of N.C. 111 N. that occurred between Jan. 2 and Sunday. Grant told authorities there was no apparent forced entry to his home, but he was unable to locate the firearm in his house.
