School building rising

Construction at Eastern Wayne Middle School is on schedule, officials say, partly because of the warm, dry weather in recent weeks. Steel beams are being erected and welded together, and the structure received its first floor of cement this week. The target date for completion of the project is spring 2013. Construction at Norwayne Middle School is also progressing. The cost of both projects totals about $16 million.
