Wayne County EMS personnel treat workers at Sunburst Foods who were overcome by chemical fumes after a chemical spill this morning. The building was evacuated.
Sunburst Foods on Sunburst Drive was evacuated this morning shortly before 11 a.m. because of a chemical spill. Goldsboro and Elroy fire departments, along with Wayne County EMS responded. Several workers were sickened by the fumes and were taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital for treatment. For the full story, see Tuesday's News-Argus.
