BEULAVILLE -- A Rose Hill man is facing several felony drug charges following a traffic stop Sunday in Beulaville.

Luis Adrian Sanchez was charged with four counts of trafficking in cocaine, possession with intent to manufacture sale and deliver cocaine, maintaining a vehicle, felony possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held in the Duplin County Jail under a $500,000 secured bond.

Duplin County Deputy Ronald Williams Sunday received information that Sanchez was transporting illegal narcotics to the Beulaville area. A vehicle stop was made in the McDonald's parking lot in Beulaville. Rogers said his K9 partner alerted to the presence of illegal narcotics.

After a search of the vehicle, about 1,000 grams (1 kilogram) of cocaine was found, which has a street value of $100,000.
