A bone marrow registration drive will be held Thursday from noon to 4 p.m. at center court in the Berkeley Mall. The drive, sponsored by the Be the Match Registry, is seeking donors willing to help patients with life-threatening diseases such as leukemia and lymphoma. Especially needed are donors with diverse racial or ethnic backgrounds.
Willing donors are asked to fill out a registration and consent form and to provide a simple cheek swab.
Betsie Letterle, account executive of community development and recruitment, also will be on hand to talk to people about the volunteering or financial contributions.
