Car damaged by gunfire
Goldsboro police are investigating a shooting that did $1,000 in damages to a car belonging to Sonya Shenia Whitted, 42, Water Oak Drive, LaGrange.
Ms. Whitted said that her son had driven the car to Day Circle where he was visiting relatives.
The car was shot while parked there, she said.
Copper theft
Jim Kelly, 58, Birchwood Drive, Mount Olive, told Goldsboro police that someone had damaged an air-conditioning unit at a rental property on East Walnut Street in Goldsboro. Damages totaled $5,000 to the unit. Cooper and other wire valued at $1,000 were reported stolen.
Vehicles stolen
*A car belonging to Samuel Clinton Nelson, 54, Pomroy Street, Greensboro was reported stolen from a parking lot on East Ash Street, according to the Goldsboro Police Department. The vehicle was valued at $2,500.
*Charles Lamont Spears, 48, National Drive reported the theft of a van valued at $2,000 from a parking lot on South Slocumb Street, according to the Goldsboro Police Department.
Thefts
*Marie Konnizan, 22, North Jefferson Street told Goldsboro police someone had broken into house. Reported taken were a 32-inch flat-screen TV valued at $450 and a DVD home theater system valued at $325.
*Jackie Mitchell, 33, Alpha Court, reported to Goldsboro police the theft from her home of a 42-inch flat-screen TV valued at $850, a 19-inch flat-screen TV valued at $325 and two DVD players valued at $160 each.
