Copper taken

Someone took copper wiring valued at $1,500 from a Progress Energy substation on West Main Street in Mount Olive. Entry was gained by cutting through a fence. Damages totaled $1,200 to the fence.

Theft

The theft of $2,574 in assorted tools was reported to Wayne County Sheriff's deputies by Nelson Nash Riggs, 36, Aycock Church Road, Fremont. The tools were taken from a construction site where he is working.

Car shot

Queen Ester Williams, 62, Sleepy Creek Road, told Wayne County Sheriff's deputies that a suspect she knows did $3,000 to her car by shooting it.

Funeral tent stolen

A Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home tent valued $4,000 was taken from Wayne Memorial Park.
