Farmers are in the middle of harvesting corn, with the recent spate of dry weather giving them a chance to harvest the grain at the right moisture content. Dry weather in June hurt the crop, which local experts say will likely be just average this year for most growers. Extension agents said some farmers lost as much as two-thirds of their corn due to the drought.
