Woman arrested for sex offense

Goldsboro Police arrested Betty Sue Blizzard, 31, of Day Circle, this morning for one count of statutory rape and one count of statutory sexual offense. Police say the victim was a 14-year-old boy who is an acquaintance of Ms. Blizzard.
Goldsboro Sgt. Chad Calloway said it's possible there will be more charges at the time of the indictment if the district attorney sees fit.
A statutory rape or sexual offense charge is brought down when the victim is under 16 years old. Statutory rape constitutes intercourse while statutory sexual offense includes other sexual acts.
Blizzard was taken to Wayne County Jail under a $500,000 bond.
