Boy Scouts to help retire old flags

Boy Scout Troop 8 will hold a ceremonial flag-burning to properly destroy used American flags on Tuesday at New Hope United Methodist Church.
The event will be held at 7 p.m. Anyone who wishes to retire a flag according to proper flag etiquette is urged to either drop the flag off at the church from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. or to bring their flag to the ceremony.
