Fire investigation
Police are looking into the circumstances surrounding a fire at 407 W. Ash St., owned by Ronyar Limited Liability Corporation, of Pine Street, Wilmington, police said. The vacant apartment building suffered $20,000 in damages after a fire on Tuesday evening around 3:82 p.m., according to a police report. Goldsboro Assistant Fire Chief Eric Lancaster later said there were some suspicious circumstances surrounding the fire, opening the incident to further investigation.
