Kids Fest to be held Saturday at Berkeley Mall

The 12th Annual Kids Fest will be held Saturday at Berkeley Mall, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
More than 30 health and safety educational exhibits will be on display, compliments of the Wayne County Health Department and 23 other organizations.
There will be games, hands-on activities, prizes, face painting, free digital fingerprinting for children by the Goldsboro Police Department.
Smokey the Bear will be on hand to teach fire safety tips and children also will be able to have their hands inspected by Sparkles, the Purple Germ Buster and learn how to keep them clean.
Entertainment will be provided at Center Stage by students from Northeast Elementary School, Dillard Academy Charter School, Greenwood Middle School's chorus and "Thriller Dancers," the "Project Jump" jump rope team and other local Wayne County youth.
Substance abuse prevention information will be provided by members of the Seymour Johnson Air Force Base Drug Demand Reduction Program and the W.A.T.C.H. Substance Abuse Task Force.
Fire safety prevention and a fire truck display will be provided by the Goldsboro Fire Department.
