The Wayne County Sheriff's Office pulled a stolen car out of the Neuse River on Thursday morning. Miranda Cotton of Raynor Mill Road reported her 1999 Cadillac Catera stolen around 10 p.m. on Wednesday, Capt. Tom Effler said. Authorities had no leads until an unidentified witness called on Thursday, reporting there was a vehicle in the river. The car was found near Stevens Mill Road, at a boat ramp maintained by the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission. The Sheriff's Office currently has no leads in the case, Effler said.
