Man robbed outside home

Willie Grace of Ball Street told Goldsboro police he came home to a man waiting with a gun on a concrete porch at his home just after midnight Thursday, according to a report. Grace was reportedly robbed of $100, police said.

False rape report alleged

Goldsboro Police Investigator Paige Learnard said that a 14-year-old juvenile female was charged with filing a false report of rape after she reported the incident to Lenoir County Social Services, according to a news release. The matter will be forwarded to the Department of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention.

Bowling balls stolen

Darrell Lloyd of Hereford Drive, Dudley, reported he was parked in the 100 block of Five Points Road, Dudley on Wednesday when three bowling balls valued at $360 were stolen from his vehicle, the Wayne County Sheriff's Office reported.
