The Eastern Carolina Vintage Farm Equipment Club will hold its eighth annual Antique Farm Equipment Days on Saturday at the Wayne County Fairgrounds.

Gates will be open for the free event from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., with an opening ceremony at 10 a.m. Club President Larry Lassiter said the show will go on rain or shine.

At noon, the Neuse Mini Pulling Club will sponsor a mini pulling points meet for the adults 16 and older.

The show will feature tractors and cars, hit-and-miss engines and working demonstrations and Belgium work horses with hay rides. There will also be crafts and food.

This will be the second year the club has cooked its own barbecue and sold sandwiches. Last year, Lassiter said, the club raised $1,700 in proceeds from the sandwich sales to help create a scholarship fund.

Club members also will have homemade ice-cream and hold a Kiddies' Tractor Pull at 2 p.m. and a Kiddies' Pedal Tractor Race at 3 p.m.
