Two kinds of medication possibly stolen by juveniles sometime Thursday night or early today could be dangerous to them, county authorities said.
The Wayne County Sheriff's Office said deputies don't know who stole Teresa Tipton's prescriptions for a nerve-pain medication and an opiate-based pain medication.
A Sheriff's Office employee phoned a pharmacist to find out if the medications have interactions.
They do not, according to a drug interaction tool on an accredited web site.
But whoever took the medications could easily overdose on one or the other.
The pharmacist who spoke with the Sheriff's Office also said that there is no guarantee that any medication will not be dangerous to people using those drugs without a prescription.
Ms. Tipton, of the Northpoint Apartment complex, noticed the medicine missing at 7 a.m. today (Friday), and last knew she had them at 5 p.m. Thursday, according to authorities' records.
