As plans for Phase 1 of Stoney Creek Park are currently being prepared, the Stoney Creek Park Alliance is looking toward the future and asking for help.

The alliance has established a wish list for items that are needed in the park.

Alliance Chairman Dr. Peter Roethling said it is going to take a community effort to make the park the best it can be.

"The success of the park and its potential to improve the quality of life in Goldsboro depends on the ability of individuals, groups and businesses to contribute whatever efforts and resources are at their disposal," Roethling has said.

Those who wish to donate items or money will be recognized with a plaque on the item once it is in the park.

The wish list includes:

*Benches

*Trash cans

*Water fountains

*Trees and shrubs

*Flowers or bulbs

*Signs

*Bicycle racks

*Outside artwork

*Bridges

*Monetary gifts

Call 739-7480 if you wish to help purchase any of these items for the park.
