Relay for Life fundraising concert scheduled

On April 18, Relay for Life team Marga-Relay-Ville and KIX Country 97.7 will present a musical performance at the Paramount Theatre to raise money for the May Relay for Life event and the American Cancer Society.
Calling it "Along the Way: An Evening of Hope," the event will be hosted by the Morning Madness Crew.
It will feature performances by Nashville songwriter and independent artist John Brown, Mary Selvidge, Beth and Dee Johnson, Spook Joyner, 12-year-old fiddling sensation Samantha Casey, cancer survivors and other local talent, including a comedy show by Dan Pace.
The doors will open at 6 p.m. with an art show by Jeffrey and Christina Minnish as well as homemade lemonade to "Elemonate Cancer" and other activities.
Performances will begin at 7 p.m.
Tickets may be purchased in advance at the Wayne County Arts Council at 736-3300 or from the Family Shoe Store and team members. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for senior citizens and children 12 and under. The show is sponsored by the Family Shoe Store, Appraisal Network of Pikeville and the Pizza Inn of Goldsboro.
