Habitat for Humanity of Goldsboro-Wayne has hired Adrienne Parker as its new family services and volunteer coordinator.

Ms. Parker is a life-long resident of Wayne County. She holds a degree in History from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and a M.B.A. from East Carolina University.

Habitat Development Director Lee Gray says Ms. Parker also has a long history of volunteering in Wayne County.

"Adrienne's people skills will prove her to be a huge asset to the organization," Mrs. Gray said. "She is looking forward to working with volunteers and helping potential families realize their dream of home ownership, and that is what Habitat is all about."

For information about Habitat, call Mrs. Gray at 736-9592.

So far, the Goldsboro-Wayne Habitat for Humanity has built 20 homes, at a cost of about $50,000 a house.

Mrs. Parker's role will be to increase that number by finding eligible families and people willing to lend a hand.
