Portion of U.S. 13 North closed to permit repairs

A portion of U.S. 13 North will be closed Wednesday and part of the day Thursday to permit highway crews to repair a water line.
A stretch the highway less than a mile long between Hood Swamp Road and Saulston Road will be affected. Travelers headed north should turn right onto Hood Swamp Road, left onto Mark Edwards Road and left again onto East Hill Road. Travelers headed south should turn right onto Saulston Road, left onto Wayne Memorial Drive and left again onto Tommy's Road.
DOT officials said work will begin Wednesday morning and should be completed by Thursday afternoon.
