Johnston County's water restrictions eased somewhat

SMITHFIELD -- The Johnston County Board of Commissioners have revised the county's water restrictions. Effective immediately, county water customers may use irrigation systems under the following rules:
*No irrigation on Mondays.
*Odd numbered addresses -- Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
*Even numbered addresses -- Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
Voluntary conservation practices are encouraged for all other water uses.
