'Warrior's Society' show Thursday

A local group says creativity in music, dance and business offers the chance to entertain 'without moral harm,' and develop character in its members.
The Warrior's Society's summer camp program holds a display of its original music at 401 N. Oak Forest Road tomorrow at 7 p.m.
Although the Warrior's Society is open to both youth and adults, it's the younger, camp-attending members of the group putting on the show, founder Stan Taylor said.
The Warrior's Society summer day camp program serves youth aged 4 to 16, teaching "character development as well as the creative and expressive arts."
Taylor, who founded the program in Goldsboro, described the group's mission in a news release.
"The mission is to raise the musical standards and to provide new choices," the release says. "Styles and formats that entertain without moral harm and uplift the human spirit."
The Thursday summer camp show has campers "producing and starring in their first variety show, 'The Rhythms of Our Lives,'" the release says.
"This show is full of original music, songs and choreography written and directed" by the summer camp participants, the release says.
Taylor says it's common for entire families to participate in the Warrior's Society and sister program the L.I.F.E. Arts Institute.
