DOT worker killed in Johnston accident

A state Department of Transportation spokesman confirmed today that a 56-year-old department veteran was killed in a crash near McGee's Crossroads in Johnston County.
Spokesman Ernie Seneca said Carl Collins, 56, was killed after his asphalt truck collided with another vehicle on N.C. 210 at N.C. 50.
Seneca could not confirm where the truck was headed.
