College youth groups are returning this summer from other states to work on a house for Habitat for Humanity of Goldsboro and Wayne County.
During the last two weeks of June, the local Habitat affiliate will host volunteers from Delaware and New Jersey, says Development Manager Sherry Archibald. She said the staff and volunteers have enjoyed working with the college students for several years now, and they welcome them back with lots of work to do at the current construction site in Harris Estates from June 18-22 and from June 25-29.
Local residents are asked to volunteer to provide lunches for the hungry workers. Any business, civic organization or church is invited to participate in providing lunch to a group of about 20 visitors. For information, call Katie Huston at 736-9592 or visit www.habitatgoldsboro.org.
