Air Force Tech. Sgt. Michelle Barefield of Goldsboro, bows her head in prayer at a Memorial Day service Monday at Wayne Community College. Tech. Sgt. Barefield, who earned the Bronze Star while serving in Iraq, was the keynote speaker at the service sponsored by the Wayne County Veterans Coalition.
