Five charged after drug search in LaGrange

LAGRANGE -- Goldsboro-Wayne County Drug Squad scratched off one more suspect featured on its "most wanted" list after executing a drug search at a home in the 100 block of Guinevere Lane in LaGrange that netted five arrests.

Christopher Alton Tann, 27, of Rudolph Street, Goldsboro, was arrested during a drug search conducted at 182 Guinevere Lane, said Lt. Tom Effler, the squad's co-commander.

Tann was among the three remaining suspects wanted in connection with a drug roundup conducted by the drug squad Sept. 27. Thirty people have been arrested in connection with the 10-month probe.

Tann was arrested for possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine and sell and deliver cocaine. He was also charged with failure to appear in court on charges of possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, sell and deliver cocaine, driving while license revoked, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and assault inflicting serious injury, Effler said. Tann was placed in the Wayne County Jail on a $105,700 secured bond.

Agents also rounded up four others including the resident who lived at the LaGrange home during the search.

Caressa Atkinson, 20, of Argo Street, Goldsboro, was charged with simple possession of marijuana. Amy Michele Taylor, 25, of Harold Sutton Road and Glenda Parks, 42, of Parkstown Road, both of LaGrange, and Linwood Davis Sr., 57, who lived at 182 Guinevere Lane, each were charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, Effer said.

Paul A. Stover and Michael Carl Collier remain at large for various drug charges originating from the undercover sting, Effler said. Anyone with information about their whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 735-2255. Callers shall remain anonymous and could receive a cash reward of up to $1,000 if their information leads to a felony arrest.
