The Aureole Trio will perform at Mount Olive College at 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 19, as part of the college's recital series.
The trio, consisting of flute, viola and harp, will play in the Southern Bank Auditorium in Raper Hall.
With a national reputation in classical music, they have recorded eight albums, with their debut short-listed for three Grammy awards. Members of the trio have been guests and members of ensembles such as the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic, and the Saint Louis Symphony. They have performed on A&E Television Network and Bravo Television Network and on National Public Radio.
Tickets for the event are $8 for general admission and can be purchased in advance or at the door.
Mount Olive plans to have four concerts each year, including string quartets, jazz ensembles, opera singers and chamber music ensembles.
