Stith will speak at GOP meeting

Thomas Stith will be the speaker at the Monday night meeting of The Wayne County Republican Club. The informal dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. Cost is $5.
Stith began his career by serving as special assistant to Gov. Jim Martin. After leaving the governor's office, he pursued a marketing career with IBM's state marketing branch in Raleigh. He left IBM to become an entrepreneur, founding and operating Windsor Academy Inc. He also worked for Progress Energy as manager of supplier diversity and business development. He graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in business management and a master's degree in marketing from N.C. Central University.
He also served as a Durham city councilman, and he once ran for lieutenant governor of North Carolina.
