Criminal Justice Day held at Mount Olive

MOUNT OLIVE -- More than 150 people attended the first Criminal Justice Day held at Mount Olive College on Thursday.
The event was sponsored by the Criminal Justice Department at the school, which offers degrees in criminal justice.
Officers from the Mount Olive Police Department, the Wayne County Sheriff's Office, Duplin County Sheriff's Office, Wilmington Police Department and North Carolina Probation and Parole Office were present to talk about how they go about doing their jobs.
Demonstrations were made by the Wayne Sheriff's Honor Guard and the Duplin Sheriff's K-9 Narcotics team, among others.
Exhibits on display included a dive team van with equipment and boats, a search van, , patrol cars, ambulances, fire department vehicles, SWAT team van and equipment, the Wayne County Sheriff's Office helicopter and drug interdiction criminal enforcement teams.
