Brinkley to speak at economic luncheon

The speaker at Friday's luncheon sponsored by the Goldsboro and Mount Olive committees of 100 is a Sampson County native who spent years working with logistics for the John Deere Co. before starting his own business logistics firm in Wallace.
Earl F. Brinkley Sr. is president of Accu-Track Logistics LLC. A graduate of Wallace-Rose Hill High School and N.C. State University, he earned a master's degree in business from Emory University.
Brinkley spent 38 years with John Deere, most of them in the order fulfillment and logistics division, the last five as director of world-wide logistics. He was featured in Emory's School of Business magazine in an article about integrity and business ethics.
Last year, following his retirement from John Deere, Brinkley and his family formed Accu-Track Logistics in Wallace. The company is a consulting firm and is developing a walk-in retail transportation store which will help businesses ship goods to any location around the world or receive them from any location and deliver them to business in North Carolina and surrounding states.
Brinkley also is the author of "North Carolina: Economic Growth Through Global Logistics." He and his wife, Linda, have two children and six grandchildren.
The luncheon is a bi-annual event, and will be held at noon at the Goldsboro Country Club.
