Seymour Johnson Air Force Base Celebration Day
1150 WGBR radio station will have a community celebration to honor Seymour Johnson Air Force Base on July 9 at Herman Park.
The public is invited to attend the celebration from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. where they can enjoy food, music and meet dignitaries from around North Carolina. Restaurants around Wayne County will provide the tasty treats. The music will be provided by local talent entertainment.
Children can also enjoy the fun with clowns and games. The train will also be operating for them to take an adventure-filled train ride.
Another sight to see will be the Sheriff Department's Color Guard, which is sure to be a treat.
Prizes will be given away throughout the day to attendees.
The celebration is being sponsored by local businesses: Pizza Inn of Goldsboro, NC Community Federal Credit Union, Berkeley Mall, Chevrolet -Cadillac of Goldsboro, Downe's Auto Parts, Dave's Custom Wheels, Daniels Furniture, Barnes Jewelers, Four Seasons Sports, Abbey's Carpet and Wireless X Press.
It is a guaranteed fun-filled event for the entire family as they show their support and pride to SJAFB.
