Public library to show free movies

The Wayne County Public Library will host its "Teen and 'Tween Movie Night" weekly throughout the summer. The movies are free.
At 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, the library will show a horror/comedy film by Director Tim Burton about a family that moves into a house inhabited by ghosts who are trying to scare the new residents away. The movie stars Geena Davis, Alec Baldwin, Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder.
On Tuesday, July 5, the film will be about a high school basketball coach, played by Samuel L. Jackson, who benches his undefeated teams because of their low academic grades. This was based on a true story. This showing will also begin at 6:30 p.m.
The library's contract with its film distributor does not allow it to publicize the titles of movies.
The library will have a meeting this Monday, beginning at 3 p.m., for teens and 'tweens who signed up for the summer reading program. The meeting in the auditorium will include a book discussion, games, prizes and ice cream floats.
