Two former alumni of Central High School will be featured speakers during the school's 33rd annual homecoming this weekend.

Milas Dorsey Kelly Jr., of the class of 1975, will kick off the events at 7 p.m. tonight, when he speaks at the Central Alumni and Friends homecoming banquet.

Retired Navy Commander Marshall Jackson, of the Central High Class of 1965, will wind up a weekend full of events with his speech at a special gospel music program Sunday.

Kelly, a Goldsboro resident, has worked for youth by working on the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council, a day center for at risk young people, and serving on the Wayne County Communities in School Board.

Jackson lives in Pennsylvania and is the national analyst for regional accounts with Novaris Pharmaceuticals.

Festivities begin on Friday and run through Sunday. A parade will be held at noon Saturday, beginning at Eastern Wayne Middle School, followed by a picnic at 1 p.m.

The weekend's events will conclude Sunday with an awards and gospel music program at 5 p.m. at Woods Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
